Bus ride confession ( Weiss x Non-Binary Reader )

After a long day at Beacon Academy you rushed to the bus that would take you home, arms folded across your chest as you held your books and papers close to you, hoping that none slipped out of your grasp since you were already late and you didn't want to miss it.

You let out a sigh of relief as you saw your bus still parked by the bus stop, you rushed over to it, giving your usual bus driver a friendly smile before paying for the ride and taking a seat near the very back of the bus, unfolding your arms as you opened up one of your books to read since the bus drive to your house was long (you didn't really feel comfortable living in the dorms, and you didn't have a team yet anyways so you didn't see the point of living in the dorms until you did).

Your bus made a few more stops after that, filling the bus and the seats up pretty quickly, the only free seat being one of the seats by you since most people didn't bother going to the back. You were just about to start a new chapter in your book when you felt someone sit down beside you, mumbling and sounding annoyed. You glanced in their direction, peeking through your hair to get a glimpse of them, your cheeks getting red when you finally get a good look.

'She's pretty, i feel like I've seen her around before' you think to yourself, your eyes scanning over her long white hair, tied up neatly on the side of her head, her icy blue eyes staring out the window besides her, pale face scrunched up in annoyance as she mutters something about how horrible her luck was, and how she'd 'get that dunce back for this'.

You sit in silence, neither of you talking to each other as you watch the other passengers get off one by one. You notice the white haired girl glancing at you, opening her mouth as if shes going to say something before closing it again and looking off to the side, her thin brows scrunched together.

'Maybe I'm making her uncomfortable' you think, glancing down at your hands with a frown before packing up your stuff, deciding to switch seats so you don't make her anymore uncomfortable. As you go to stand up she grabs your wrist, a panicked look on her face.

“Wait! I'm sorry, please don't leave” You slowly sit back down, turning your head towards the girl. “I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable or anything, you see my dunce of a friend somehow got stuck on the other side of town and i had to take the bus...” she scrunches up her face “and i noticed your uniform, I've seen you around school sometimes and i thought it was nice to see a familiar face, Oh! I'm Weiss Schnee by the way, i didn't mean to stare but...” the pale girl clears her throat, looking away, almost like shes embarrassed “you're a lot nicer to look at up close”.

You blink, cheeks on fire as you process Weiss' words which causes the white haired huntresses face gets redder as you blush “Stop blushing your making my face get all flustered!” You cover your face with your hands, burying your head into them as your face turns redder. “I'm sorry!” She scoffs, pulling your hands away from your face. “Don't apologize you dunce, you can't help that you're cute” She drops your hands in shock, covering her mouth as her face turns red. “Uh, W-What i meant was--”

“Second last stop!” Your head goes up, and you jump out of your seat, gathering your stuff in a hurry as your stop gets closer. “D-Don't mention it Weiss! I understand!” you smile shyly, brushing some hair out of your face as you stand up. “I don't think you do!” Weiss replies looking annoyed, her icy blue eyes narrowed at you.

“Well then explain before my stop comes up” you motion towards the front of the bus, which was getting closer to your stop as you spoke. “I think you're cute, i saw you talking to Ruby sometimes and i wanted to talk to you but every time i tried you had already left and i just-” the bus lurches forwards as it came to a stop, doors opening to let people off “Ugh! Will you go on a date with me sometime?

You grinned at the flustered huntress, your face equally as red as you kiss her quickly on the cheek before walking towards the exit of the bus, sending her a shy smile. “I'd love to go on a date with you sometime Weiss, I'll see you at school on Monday”. The white haired huntress watches as you leave, the bus doors closing after you got off the bus, which continues to move towards the last stop. She buries her face into her hands, hiding her red face from the rest of the passengers who give her questioning looks or knowing smiles.

“[ That ] (i/p) going to be the death of me.”
